In 1951 Elvis starts work for Precision Tools, he is fired one month later when it is learned that he is under age.

In 1953 Elvis records 'My Happiness' and 'That's When Your Begins' at Sam Phillips Memphis Recording Studio Service, he takes the original pressing and no copies are made.

Scotty Moore, Bill Black and Elvis are collectively known as 'Elvis and The Blue Moon Boys'.

21st Aug 1977 RCA reports it has sold over 8,000000 Elvis records in the six days since his death.

July 1975 Elvis has cosmetic surgery to give his eyes a more youthful look.

Nov 1971 After Elvis passes a lie detector test and a blood test Patricia Parker drops her paternity suit.

Oct 1970 Elvis becomes a special deputy in Memphis so he can legally carry a gun.

Jan 1968 Elvis announces that he wants to do a singing tour of Europe, but the plan comes to nothing.

3rd July 1960 Vernon marries Dee Stanley but Elvis refuses to attend.

'Elvis' is also the middle name of his father, Vernon Presley.
